Kari Husmann, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than two decades of experience in primary care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis before completing her Master’s degree in Nursing at Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing. Kari has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2000 and brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and continuity to patient care.
Fluent in Spanish, Kari is able to provide comprehensive care to Spanish-speaking patients and values clear communication as a cornerstone of effective healthcare. She has a strong interest in preventive medicine and works closely with dietitians to support lifestyle modifications that promote long-term wellness.
Kari is especially passionate about building strong, lasting relationships with her patients and partnering with them in the ongoing management of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Her approach centers on education, collaboration, and personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s goals and needs.
Outside of medicine, Kari and her husband enjoy staying active and embracing outdoor adventure through cycling and backpacking. They love combining their passion for sports and exploration with travel and are currently enjoying the next phase of life as they plan for the future with two children in college.
