Chad Cox, MD

Chad Cox, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than two decades of experience providing comprehensive primary care for adult patients. He earned undergraduate degrees in Classical Civilizations and Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before pursuing his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Cox completed his internal medicine residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California, and has proudly maintained board certification in internal medicine since 2001.

Driven by a passion for the biological sciences and a desire to make a meaningful impact, Dr. Cox found his calling in medicine through a strong foundation in science and clinical training. His experience has shaped a thoughtful, thorough approach to primary care — one that emphasizes long-term health, prevention, and continuity of care.

Dr. Cox’s professional journey has taken him across the country, including time in Texas, Colorado, Northern and Southern California, Florida, and Arkansas. In 2016, he made North Carolina his home, where he continues to care for patients and contribute to the local community.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Cox is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children — two daughters and a son. His interests include traveling, exercising, hiking, reading science fiction and fantasy novels, listening to classical and alternative rock music, and playing tennis in local leagues. His appreciation for balance, curiosity, and lifelong learning carries through into both his personal life and his approach to patient care.
