Health insurance helps cover medical care costs, but coverage and patient responsibility vary widely by plan. Most patients are responsible for some combination of the following:
The monthly amount paid to maintain your insurance coverage, regardless of services used.
Out-of-pocket costs that apply before or after insurance coverage begins, depending on your plan.
The portion of healthcare costs you are responsible for, excluding premiums and non-covered services.
Insurance companies determine coverage, benefits, and prior authorization requirements. While our team works closely with insurance carriers, coverage decisions are ultimately made by your plan.
Services considered preventive by your provider may be processed as diagnostic by your insurance company based on their policies and coding rules. We recommend contacting your insurance plan to understand your benefits.
Although we offer urgent care and specialty services, McCrimmon Primary Care Plus is a primary care practice. Visits are billed as standard primary care office visits, not retail or standalone urgent care visits.
Some services or medications require prior authorization. When required, our team will work with your insurance company to obtain approval.
We partner with Quest Diagnostics for lab testing when needed. Coverage varies by plan and test type. A Quest lab technician will review coverage and cost estimate with you.
