Dr. Sarah Starr is a board-certified Family Medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients across all stages of life. She believes that strong patient-provider relationships are the foundation of exceptional healthcare and strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care.
Dr. Starr earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia before obtaining her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency training through East Carolina University’s Family Medicine Residency Program.
In addition to her board certification in Family Medicine, Dr. Starr is also board certified in Obesity Medicine. She has a special interest in helping patients achieve sustainable health goals through evidence-based approaches to weight management, preventive care, and lifestyle medicine.
Her approach focuses on partnering with patients to develop realistic, individualized care plans that support long-term health and wellness. Whether helping patients manage chronic conditions, navigate preventive care, or improve overall health, Dr. Starr is committed to providing personalized care that meets each patient where they are in their healthcare journey.
